Scratch Resistance
For surfaces with extraordinary resistance to scratching and polishing, ILVA offers the range of SCRATCH RESISTANCE products.
The resistances are comparable to those of laminates, but with the versatility of a varnish and the possibility of creating both flat and shaped parts with the same ease and a perfect aesthetic result.
ILVA Laboratories have developed solutions that guarantee perfect and homogeneous opacity over the entire surface, which remains unchanged even in case of high stresses.
SUPER SCRATCH RESISTANCE RANGE
TOM5187 clear polyurethane top-coat 5 gloss
PLM592x COLOR SYSTEM pigmented polyurethane top-coats in all desired colors, 7 gloss, now also Bio-Renewable and GreenGuard certified
PLM5937 black pigmented polyurethane top-coat, 7 gloss
Resistances, evaluated according to the following tests:
- UNI EN 15186 method B excellent scratch resistance (≥1 Newton)
- UNI EN 15187: excellent resistance to yellowing
- UNI EN 12720: excellent resistance to liquids (*)
(*) acetone, ammonia, cleaning products, cola, water, beer, coffee, tea, milk, vinegar, mustard, butter, oil, fruit juice
Applicable by manual and automatic spray and dry at room temperature or hot air
SCRATCH RESISTANCE RANGE
PL720x SHEEN SERIES COLOR SYSTEM Pigmented polyurethanetop-coats available in all the desired colors and in Opacity from 10 to 50 gloss.
Resistances, evaluated according to the following tests:
• UNI EN 15186 method B: excellent scratch resistance (≥7 Newton)
• UNI EN 15187: excellent resistance to yellowing
• UNI EN 12720: excellent resistance to liquids (*)
(*) acetone, ammonia, cleaning products, water, beer, coffee
They can be applied by manual and automatic spray and dry at room temperature or with hot air.
